Jack & Jones opened shop no. 100 in the Netherlands on 27 May, 8 years after the first shop opened in Amsterdam. In fact Jack & Jones opened no less than four shops in the Netherlands on that same day, in Alkmaar, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Katwijk.

Set to the tones of a DJ, customers flocked to the new shops to enjoy the great opening offers and to get a hold of the free jeans that were given away.

Jack & Jones have gone into collaboration with Spanish Hollywood star Antonio Banderas to sponsor his team competing in the Moto2 series – “Team Jack & Jones by Antonio Banderas Racing”.

Joan Olivé from Spain, who finished this year’s 125cc World Championship in the top 10, and American Kenny Noyes were presented to the press as the new riders on the team. They have the potential to take Team Jack & Jones far and having Antonio Banderas, a huge fan of motorcycling, as the team owner and a great source of inspiration will definitely bring a lot of publicity to the team.

Antonio Banderas is excited about the project: “I’ve always been passionate about motorcycles and when this opportunity presented itself, I did not hesitate for a moment. I intend to help the young talents and I think we’ll enjoy the entire season; I do not know if I can go to all races, but I have made it clear that I will try to support the riders at all times”.

The World Championship series runs over 18 Grand Prix from April to November all over the world.

In March 2010 Jack & Jones will be launching a NON PROFIT t-shirt in support of Haiti. The proceeds will go to Save the Children, the world’s largest children’s rights organization which does relief work in more than 100 countries.

In January 2010 Jack & Jones donated € 27,000 in support of the earthquake victims in Haiti through the national Danish fundraising campaign “Danmarks Indsamling”. With this t-shirt we want to do more and also give you the chance to support the important relief work in Haiti.
